Cookie Policy

    Last updated: 14 August 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies we use on theicon.pt and how you can manage your preferences. It complements our Privacy Policy.

    1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, mobile) when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences (such as language, login session or consent choices) over a period of time, so you do not have to re-enter them on every visit.

    2. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies only for the following limited purposes:

    • Ensure the website loads and functions correctly.
    • Keep you signed in to the Admin area and the Client Portal.
    • Remember your language preference (pt/en).
    • Store your consent choice for cookies, so we do not ask again on every visit.

    3. Types of Cookies We Use

    3.1 Essential Cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the website and our authenticated areas to work. They do not require consent under Portuguese and EU law.

    • cookie_consent: stores your cookie preference for 180 days.
    • Supabase authentication session (Admin and Client Portal).
    • Language preference (pt/en).

    3.2 Functional Cookies

Cookies used to enable additional non-essential features. At this moment, no functional cookies beyond the essential ones listed above are active on this website.

    3.3 Analytics Cookies

Google Analytics 4 is available on the public website and runs only after you give explicit consent. It measures page views, approximate location, device/browser information, referral source and successful lead actions without receiving names, email addresses or form contents. Advertising storage, Google Signals and ad-personalisation signals are disabled.

    • Provider: Google Ireland Limited. Measurement ID: G-BL04WM8RE4.
    • _ga: distinguishes visitors for up to 2 years.
    • _ga_BL04WM8RE4: maintains session state for up to 2 years.
    • Legal basis: consent. Rejecting analytics does not affect access to the website, Admin area or Client Portal.

    4. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

When you first visit the site, a banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time by clicking the 'Cookie preferences' link in the footer, which will re-open the banner. You can also delete cookies directly from your browser settings.

    5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in applicable law. The 'Last updated' date at the top of this page indicates when the latest revision took effect. Material changes affecting non-essential cookies will trigger a new consent request through the banner.
